PlayStation 4 Worth it in 2019?

Short Answer: It depends

The PlayStation 4 is one of the best selling consoles of all time first released in November 2013 it was a powerhouse when it was first released, it has since sold over 90 million units.

Although you can no longer purchase the original PlayStation 4 now, you can buy its upgraded counterparts the PlayStation 4 slim and the PlayStation 4 Pro. Both of which provide massive performance boosts over the original allowing you to play all the latest and greatest games even with the ever more demeaning hardware requirements.

Slim, Plus? Whats the difference?

Like most things in life everything is relative to your needs but to keep it simple if you have a 4K TV or have a desire to buy one in the near future you would want to buy the PlayStation 4 Pro. If you do not have a 4K TV and do not want one then you can stick to the PlayStation 4 Slim as this will end up saving you money which you can then spend on all the other things you want.

Why would I want to buy one?

Talking about the price, the PlayStation 4 is Relatively cheap now costing around $300 and I have seen it go as low as $200 on sale. I mean if you don’t already own one what’s stopping you, for that price these consoles are an absolute steal. I will go ahead a link some of the best deals I can find on amazon all you need to do is click on the image or the link below.

Another reason why you might want to buy the PlayStation 4 is its massive collection of exclusive games that you can’t play on any other consoles. Some of these games include God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man and the Uncharted Series.

So... What about the PlayStation 5 and should I wait?

The PlayStation 5 is still a long way off, rumoured to be release late 2020. It has also be rumoured to be cross-compatible with PlayStation 4 games which is amazing. So if you cant stand the wait and end up buying the PlayStation 4 and then in the future pickup the PlayStation 5 you know that you wont have to buy all your games again.
